Each; papázhig. Each of us; papazhegoyung, anducheyung. -you; -yag. -them; -waud. See every.

Each other; use mod. B.: e.g., We love each other; kesahgeëdemin.

Eager. See zealous.

Eagle; n. a. megezée (pl. wug). White-headed eagle; waubezhahqua, (pl. -g). Black e.; mesunze, (pl. -g). See war eagle.

Ear; n. i. otúhwugumah. My, thy, his ear; netúhwug, ketúhwug, otúhwug, (pl. -oon). He has ears; otuhwugáh, v. n. 1, (p. c. watuh-). He has large e.; muhmuhgetúhwuga, v. n. 2. -long e.; guhguhnótuhwuga. -small e.; bahbewetúhwuga. -ugly e.; mahmáunzhetühwuga. His ears are cold; tutukketúhwuga. -are frozen; mushkuwúhjetuhwugáwuhje, v. 3. -are stopped; gúhgebetúhwuga; buhbáugetúhwuga.

Note - Nearly all the preceding verbs have the frequentative prefix; this is dropped if one ear only is effected: e.g., His ear is cold; tukketahwaga.

He cuts off his ear; o-kishketuhwugzhwaun, v. t. V. His e. is cut off; kishketúhwuga, v. n. 2. He stops his e.; kuhkebetuhwugáodezo, mod.A. He stops his (another's) e.; o-kuhkebetuhwugáwaun, v. t. V. Ear-ring; n.i.nahbeshabesoon, (pl.-un). Earth; n. i. uhke, (meaning also the world, country, soil). On e.; uhkeeng. On the surface of the e.; ógeduhkummig. On the opposite side of the e.; áhzhuhwuhkummig. In the e.; uhkéekaung. He is e.; uhkéewe. It is e.; uhkéewun, (In compos. -kummig).

Eight; ishwáuswe, or nishwáuswe. In compos.; ishwauso (e. g., handfuls, catch fish, &c, which see). Eight times, or the eighth time; ishwáuching. Eighth, or eighthly; ako-ishwaúching. Eight each, or eight every time; nanishwáuching. We are eight; kenishwaúchemin, mod. B. There are eight things; nishwáuchenoon. It is eight o'clock; ishwaúso-tebúheguná, v. i. 2, (p. c. ashw-).

Elk; cariboo; n. a. ahtík, (pl. -wug).

Elm; n. a. uhníb, (pl. -eeg). Elm-bark, úhnebe-oonahgak. Bag made of e. b.; wahnemod, (pl. -un).

Eloquence; n. i. netahgegedowín; netahwáwin.

Eloquent. He is e; netáhwa, v. n. 2; netahgegedoo (p. c. nat-).

Else. Anything else; kago puhkaun. There is nothing else; kah kago puhkaun ahtásenoon. See otherwise.
